1st Due Fire for #1 Platoon

January 25, 2010 - Just minutes before midnight, Units with the 2nd Battalion Chief were sent to 211 F Street NE for the house. Engine 3 (1st Due) arrived to find a 2 story middle of the row with smoke showing. After determining that the fire was in the basement, and Engine 10 was not able to make entry from the rear, Engine 3 pushed down the stairs to the basement and extinguished the fire. Battalion 2 held Engine 3 and Truck 7 to assist the fire investigators.

Guess we still own a little part in North East….

It’s Finally Back !

9 months later we finally get our Wagon Back. It was placed out of service the first week in April 2009 for Minor Pump Work. In the end we have a totally re-built pump. Rumor has it that this will become a water supply piece in the very near future, so stay tuned.

1147 Owen Place NE

As #2 platoon assumed duty on January 30, 2010 several Box Alarms with working fires were dispatched. Units with the 2nd Battalion Chief went to 1147 Owen Place NE at 08:57 for a house fire. E-10 marked on scene with a

2-story row with smoke showing. E-3 (2nd Due) reported fire showing in the rear. E-3 laid/used the 400’ 1.5”.
